The four phases of design

Paraffin, rice paper and iron wire on paper .

One (01) work: 140 x 80 cm.

Four pages of a topography exercise instruction book representing the four phases
of the topographic drawing are fixed on a sheet of rice paper, arranged in a clockwise direction.
A second sheet of rice paper overlays the set.

With the heating of the paraffin over the paper, the images emerge through cartographic stains, enabling the view of the landscapes under construction.

Wires of iron wire modeled from the contours of maps present in other works are positioned horizontally, creating new lines and contours for the landscapes in a game of presence and absence.
